Chemical Remediation

Chemical Remediation Solutions

Chemical remediation has become indispensable since the discovery of the dangers found in water such as PFOA, PFOS, PFAS (forever chemicals).

This contamination is a widespread problem that needs a multifaceted plan of attack.

Filtra designed and built its own platform to help support the cleanup of these chemicals and restore your water and wastewater to non-detectable levels is by using the Filtra-Systems mobile VoyagerTM platform.

Voyager, PFAS mobile water treatment system

The VoyagerTM comes in many shapes and sizes.

Rental Systems Available. Frequently fits into your operational budget. No Capital Investment.

It was first built as a mobile filtration solution containing fully automated smart systems and purpose-built as a single point, turnkey systems for chemical remediation projects.

It is also available as a mobile skid system, permanent system as well as an emergency mobile system.

For more information, case studies and a free Voyager demonstration call Filtra-Systems now 248-427-9090. You’ll be glad you called.

PFOA, PFOS, PFAS

With extensive industry experience and testing the Filtra-Systems team has used the Voyager in many testing applications and has successfully met or exceeded the PFAS discharge levels of the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes and Energy (MDEQ) (12 ppt) standards and, significantly below the Federal EPA standards (70 ppt).

Testing data proves we are able to get your PFAS levels below detectable limits of 2 parts per trillion (non-detect, drinkable water levels).

The selection process

In fact, most people who contact us immediately, quickly discover there's a right way, and many wrong ways to remove PFAS.

In test after test, our chemical and engineering experts have proven that PFAS removal is the correct combination of media choice and PFAS treatments needed to reach your final water quality objectives.

Based on your application, water contamination level and water chemistry, ion exchange resin, granulated activated carbon (GAC) or other media will be used either together or separately to remove your PFOA, PFOS and other PFAS contaminates to non-detectable levels.

GAC

Typically Granulated Activated Carbon (GAC) is used to remove many of the organic and metal contaminants caused by past industrial pollution, pesticide leaching, landfill leachate and other sources found in water.

IX

Ion Exchange Resins, having been thoroughly tested and proven, is used to remove all PFAS contaminates. They will remove both short- and long-chain PFAS—including PFOA (Perfluorooctanoic Acid), PFOS (Perfluorooctane Sulfonate), PFNA, PFHxA, PFHxS, PFHpA, PFBS, PFBA and many other contaminates.

Sizes

No dirty water cleanup application is too large for Filtra-Systems and the VoyagerTM.

Our full line catalog delivers systems that are small enough for pilot studies or large enough for a permanent installation.

Working in superfund, aerospace, military, general manufacturing, firefighting training, landfill, and heavy industrial sites throughout the U.S. and around the globe giving us the opportunity to work on several chemical remediation projects.

For almost any application, these water filtration systems are cost-effective and ideal for either short-term rentals or long-term clean-up projects.

And, most of these PFAS treatment systems can be deployed, set up and working quickly, usually within days.

... And Filtra-Systems, with over 40-years as a Michigan company, is proud and honored to be an integral part of Michigan’s PFAS cleanup.
